far the coziest and most contemporary of our three homes, SierraScape
is an upscale yet affordable paradise, ideally suited to somewhat
smaller groups. A distinctive find, the home and its surroundings
are consistently called “AMAZING”, “INCREDIBLE”, “UNBELIEVABLE” and
even ”DIVINE” by our guests upon check-in....by the time they
check-out, they’re often planning their return.Secretly set near Yosemite, this 1200 sq ft custom-built, tri-level, 3 bedroom home is hidden away in the center of eight secluded acres and has extensive decking and a spa that overlook the boulder filled, seasonal creek and surrounding hills. SierraScape is a virtual cocoon of nature, it is surrounded by lush, year-round greenery and the incredible ITALIAN CREEK runs right by, just 20' below the Redwood deck. This very popular home is truly  one-of-a-kind, you simply must see it to believe it. From the high-ceilinged catwalk that spans the length between the two third floor bedrooms and looks down onto the first floor dining area to the six-foot tiled shower that has knee-height
windows with totally private views, SierraScape consistently provides
an experience that far exceeds the expectations of those who have been
fortunate enough to have chosen it. The home is beautifully furnished with an eclectic mix of comfort and style, has a FULLY-equipped kitchen with EVERY convenience, three large, beautifully done bedrooms as well as the most incredible outdoor patio you have possibly ever seen. A detailed description can be found below to both assist you in imagining the overall layout, and in deciding if in fact this is the home you were oh-so-hoping to find. THE LIVING, KITCHEN AND DINING AREAS...  SierraScape’s
living room has high, open-beam ceilings and includes a reclining sofa,
several comfortable chairs, the Giant, stone fireplace, Stereo system,
TV w/DVD/VCR and extensive satellite channels, including HBO. There is
an abundance of board games, an interesting collection of books and
novels as well as access out the French doors, leading directly out
onto the back deck area and full-size SPA.This room sits adjacent to the sunny dining area that seats up to six, and just beyond that, the arched entrance leads you into the well-stocked, fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances, gas stove, refrigerator w/ice maker, double stainless sink with plumbed, purified RO drinking water, Granite countertops, dishwasher, microwave, multiple windows and a BEAUTIFUL view...  This
room sits adjacent to the sunny Dining area that can seat up to six,
and just beyond that, the arched entrance leads you into the
well-stocked, fully-equipped kitchen with modern appliances, gas stove,
refrigerator w/ice maker, double stainless sink with plumbed, purified
RO drinking water, Granite countertops, dishwasher, microwave, multiple
windows and a BEAUTIFUL view...Also located in the dining area is the small media center where you’ll fine the phone and internet equipment, including wi-fi access and an answering machine. A Full-size washer and dryer can be found in the closet, off the hallway and for your convenience, we also provide earth-friendly laundry soap and even a drying rack for those of you who would like one. The washer and dryer are available to all our guests, regardless of the duration of their stay. THE BEDROOMS and BATHS...  The
large, Master Suite is located on the second level and has open-beam,
cathedral ceilings & skylight, a Queen-size bed, loveseat, a
vanity/sink and a side door that opens onto its own private deck,
leading down to the hot tub. The Room With a View is located on the third level, at one end of the catwalk and also has high, open-beam ceilings, a King-size bed, a beautiful view and French doors that lead out onto a private balcony, overlooking the creek. The coziest bedroom here, The Lodge room is located at the other end of the catwalk, also on the third level and has a Queen-size bed, high open-beam ceilings and several distant views. The upstairs, half-bath is also located along this catwalk, separating the two upper bedrooms and allowing for more privacy and convenience. All three bedrooms are beautifully outfitted with both modern & antique furniture as well as comfortable, quality beds. Each room has a ceiling fan, a sitting/reading area and writing desk, adding to the comfort and solitude of each individual space. Extra blankets are plentiful here and can be easily found throughout the house. Located on the first floor is the unique, full bathroom with an open, 6' tile shower that has dual shower heads, multiple windows and private, distant views. It also has a large soaking tub, a real treat! Conveniently, this main bathroom is accessible from common living space as is the half-bath upstairs so no traipsing through someone else's bedroom on your way to the loo ;-). And OUTSIDE…  You’ll find the incredible, multi-level Sunny Garden Deck that is absolutely, positively fantastic. This extensive
area overlooks the boulder filled creek and surrounding hills and leads
past the Hot Tub, up to the garden gate that leads you down a short
path, right to the water's edge.The full-size SPA is transcendent. It is sunken so is easy to get in and out of, exceptionally well-kept, available ALL year long and is incredibly inviting and while just 10 or so steps from the living room door, it is virtually in another world, decadently perched over the creek and under the wide-open sky that is at one moment the bluest of blues and the next, an incredible orange with the sun setting slowly over the trees. Wait a while longer and experience the immense night sky where the constellations abound and the stars go shooting by. Imagine relaxing on down here after an arduous hike in Yosemite into the clear, hot, bubbling water, it just doesn't get any better than that. Yosemite is So close, and yet SO far... "Regardless of how stressed one may be, if they cannot get their mind in a better place sitting out on your deck and listening to nature, they need professional help." There are two separate outdoor table and chair combinations as well as lounge furniture, a vine covered trellis and full feeders that attract a wide variety of birds,(you'll likely see any or all the resident hawks, clever Ravens and giant Birds of Prey as well as oodles of Hummingbirds, yellow Finches, Juncos, Towhees and more!...yes, we also provide a bird guide ;-).  Right outside the French doors you'll find the clean Gas Grill and an abundance of flowering pots and native plants that will surround you, gold pans are also provided for those who would like to try their hand at striking it rich in the creek. ;-) ITALIAN CREEK is significant, the boulders creating it are magnificent and great for exploring and just 10' downstream from the house is the waterfall, it is amazing to see in the winter and spring! The creek is seasonal however there is water running in it six to eight months out of the year and there are small, grassy pools amongst the rocks, year-round. SUITABILITY... This secret hideaway can provide the newlywed couple an exquisite honeymoon destination and is also a wonderfully private place for romantic occasions such as anniversaries, birthdays and surprise vacation getaways. It is particularly well suited for couples and small groups of friends or family (ideally with either very young, or somewhat older children) traveling together so please, come and enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of local wine outside on the deck while enjoying the sunrise over the hills with the hawks flying by. Maybe even take a short hike around the property or simply relax in front of the fire, the possibilities are endless here in this exceptionally clean, easy to find, well-appointed retreat. |
