Ideally located just outside Yosemite in beautiful and historic Mariposa, California, SierraScape Vacation Rentals offers three unique, peaceful, private, well appointed and exceptionally clean vacation homes which promise to provide guests a most welcoming, comfortable and memorable “Home Away From Home”.

Conveniently located within four, to nine miles of the town of Mariposa, SierraScape’s vacation homes are all within 30 minutes of Yosemite National Park.  While each place offers an entirely different style, locale, and experience and is ideally located for enjoying all that Yosemite and its surrounding areas have to offer, they’re also perfect for folks keen on being able to just sit back, relax and enjoy themselves in their own private paradise (and never encounter the tourists!).

Many of our guests claim that once they’ve been to Yosemite, they simply want to stay put, basking in the beauty and seclusion without ever having to leave the property.  Yosemite is so close, and yet so far…

All three homes are exceptionally outfitted with an abundance of comforts, conveniences and useful items not found in many other vacation rentals. Just glance through our Guestbook to see that we do indeed go way beyond “the usual” to make certain our guests’ experience with us far exceeds their highest hopes and expectations.

We are local, managing owners and live within 10 miles of all three homes.  We have over 30 combined years living in the Yosemite area and are nearly always available for assistance without ever being underfoot, or intrusive.

We welcome and encourage families with young children and offer the use of a variety of baby/child items such as gates, highchairs, booster seats, cribs or Porta-Cribs, strollers and lots of books and toys, all of which can be cumbersome and difficult to travel with.

Guests can enjoy downtown Mariposa's historic charm, its art galleries, antique and gift shops as well as the California State Mining Exhibit and the Mariposa Gold Country Museum. You can visit its History Center (a really fun & exceptional place), California's oldest operating courthouse or tour local wineries and taste some of the area's award-winning mountain wines.

There is a quaint country store just two to three miles away from each of our homes. There are several great restaurants to choose from in both Mariposa and nearby Oakhurst.  There is also an abundance of wonderful children’s activities nearby, and of course, the legendary Gold Rush region along Historic Highway 49.

You can be far away from it all in any one of these secluded, delightful places and yet easily be hiking in Yosemite National Park or through the Giant Sequoias, skiing Badger Pass, boating on beautiful Bass Lake or sledding in the snow at Goat Meadow Winter Sports Area in under an hour’s time. In addition, and also within an hour you can be fishing, or white-water rafting on the awesome Merced River!

We now invite you to click on the photos and browse each home’s own individual page for more information, pricing and pictures. You'll also find a wealth of information on our Details page. We hope to hear from you soon so we can help make your ideal vacation come true!
